HINE PAE KURA
8 December 2017-21 January 2018
Bottle Creek Gallery, Pātaka

Hine Pae Kura Collective – previously known as Toi Wāhine Collective – will be exhibiting new artwork alongside six renowned Wellington-based Māori women artists. Hine Pae Kura are Keri-Mei Zagrobelna, Miriama Grace-Smith, Sophie Jolley, Xoë Hall, Sian Montgomery-Neutze and Pikihuia Haenga. Hine Pae Kura is honoured to exhibit alongside Robyn Kahukiwa, Suzanne Tamaki, Jamie Berry, Kaea Graham, Stevei Houkamau and Ladyfruit.

Hine Pae Kura is the faintest line, between the darkness of imaginings and the reality of thought. She lies between memories and whakapapa. Over the past 6 months the Hine Pae Kura Collective has embraced many changes. Their diversity continues to be united within a common worldview; their strength residing in the passion for the kaupapa they embody.
