Come and learn about the very latest climate science and be inspired by creative projects that help us to understand and care about our planet.
The panellists include expert climate scientists, Professors James Renwick (Victoria University) and Dr Craig Stevens (NIWA), joined by Track Zero Founder, Sarah Meads and local special guests: artist, researcher and educator, Gabby O’Connor; artist, artistic director Sam Trubridge; artist, curator and researcher, Dr Huhana Smith, and; artist Elizabeth Thomson.

Artists whose works will be for sale at the auction event include Heimler & Proc, Rohan Wealleans, and Micheline Robinson. Plus an artwork created by Jacinda Ardern. Bidding reserves range from $250 to $2,000. During the exhibition you can view all of the pieces that will be auctioned AND you can also explore, and buy, artwork from over 50 other amazing artists from across Wellington.

Pātaka Friends Art Awards 2018 Call For Entry

Pātaka is pleased to announce a call for entry for the 2018 Art Awards, organised by the Pātaka Friends. A chance for Porirua artists to showcase their talent to the region and be in to win one of five fantastic prizes.
The art comes in many different media, from sculpture, ceramics to painting. Prizes include – an Open Award, a Highly Commended Award, The Jane Hyder Painting Award, The Creativity and Promise Award and the all-important Viewers’ Choice Award, which visitors can vote on throughout the exhibition. All the work is for sale.
