Textiles Extravaganza WORKSHOPS

Blockprinting - Monday 7 July
Come along and design some funky shapes that we will repeat print or stamp onto some fabric pieces. Great for a wall hanging or even a way cool cushion cover for your bedroom.

Shibori Dyeing Techniques - Tuesday 8 July
Shirbori is a beautiful Japanese technique for dyeing fabrics. We will show you some way cool ways of tying, stitching and clamping fabric before we dunk the fabric in a dye bath. You will be amazed at the different effects you can get from this technique.

Chain Stitching and Wool Patterns - Wednesday 9 July
We will have you in stitches! Come along and learn the basic stitch used in many of the textiles you will see in the exhibition. We will be also glueing some wool patterns with the added help of textile glue. This will be colourful and funky.
