Chaired by guest curator Nina Tonga, this forum addresses the transnational experiences of Tongan artists in New Zealand. The forum features a panel of four Tongan artists who will discuss their works and address the shifting notions of home and belonging.

Pataka’s Contemporary Art Curator, Mark Hutchins-Pond, will guide visitors through Shigeyuki Kihara’s fictitious narrative of Salomé and explain some of the ideas behind Kihara’s most recent richly layered series of images: Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going?
