The Crofton Flute Ensemble’s performances feature arrangements for a range of flutes. They include the tiny piccolo, the standard C-flute, the alto flute and the large bass flute. Sometimes the performances include flutes of other cultures like the Japanese shakuhachi, and Chinese ocarina.

The Ensemble’s repertoire spans compositions written for various combinations of flutes. These compositions range through jazz, light classical, popular tunes and arrangements of standards in the classical and baroque repertoire.

The Crofton Flute Ensemble members bring a wide breadth of experiences to the ensemble, playing in classical orchestras, stage shows, military bands, jazz ensembles, and chamber groups.

This particular concert is dedicated to the memory of friend and founding member, Derek Holland who sadly passed away earlier in the year. The concert also celebrates the 20th anniversary of the ensemble’s founding.
