Original Voices Workshop

THE INCLUSIVE ART WORKSHOP: Pataka Education Classroom
Thursday 30 August 2012, 10am – 4.30pm

An endless roll of paper will be the ‘canvas’. Paint, soft pastels, and printing screens will be the tools. Making the largest visual document of inclusion to date in New Zealand will be the goal for the first Inclusive Art Workshop at Pataka.

People with and without impairments are invited to collaborate in this workshop using a very simple screen printing technique that is suitable for people of all ages and abilities. The workshop will be facilitated by Marcel Baaijens, Mentor and Inclusion Coordinator at The Learning Connexion. Marcel Baaijens has created the inclusive tertiary art education programme in New Zealand. The workshop will be a fun, colourful, and enriching experience for all who will take part. The collaborative work will be displayed at Pataka when completed.
